for @harvydnt

Pairing: Anna/Ava
Rating: Teen
Word Count: 3286
Warnings: mentions of violence, post-bombing apocalypsey type drama

Ava and Anna have been together for a while. They live together, they spend most of their time together, and Anna’s family has come to accept Ava as one of their own. Ava wants to spend the rest of her life with Anna, and can’t see any reason why she shouldn’t propose.

Anna doesn’t seem to see things the same way.  The same night that Ava is going to propose, Anna says they need to talk, and tells Ava that she thinks they should take some time apart and really think about whether this relationship is something they both want. When Anna doesn’t give a specific reason for why she wants this, it sparks a fight. Ava wonders if maybe Anna’s been seeing someone else. Anna tells her she wouldn’t dream of it, but that only makes matters worse.

The fight dwindles as they lose their fire, and eventually they end up going to bed, Anna sleeping on the couch. In the morning, Anna has to leave for work - she’s going into the local mines to do research for an article - and tries to get Ava to discuss their relationship with her, but has no luck. When the bombs come that afternoon, Ava wishes she’d given her a chance to talk.

Dean/Benny AU
↳ created for spnrarepairbingo; beards and mojitos square
3226 words, rated Teen. (brief allusions to sexual activity)

Dean’s always been a workaholic. Sure, his life doesn’t completely revolve around catching bad guys; he has friends and hobbies and the occasional fling. But to be honest, the job is pretty much everything to him. It’s what he’s spent his life working toward, and he’s damn good at it. He’s happy giving up his time off to work over time so he can solve a case, and he’s always the first to lend a hand with an investigation when needed. His mentor told him it’s not a crime to need your job, and he’s taken that to heart.

His boss, Donna, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to appreciate that sentiment. She knows Dean is good at what he does, and appreciates having him on the force, but according to her, he seems to have taken his most recent case rather hard, and is using work as a reason not to face his feelings. He tries to reassure her that that’s not the case, but she doesn’t buy it, and gives him an ultimatum: take some time off, or start seeing a therapist to help deal with his grief. He chooses the first option.

Lisa, Kate, Cassie, & Abaddon AU
↳ created for spnfemslashbingo; Trapped square
Based on Raze (2014); 5357 words

Back in Lisa’s home town, before she got pregnant, she got mixed up with a rough crowd, and became part of an underground fighting ring. She was a good fighter, and she made a decent amount of cash, but it wasn’t a good environment for her to be in, and getting pregnant was the final straw. She had to get out of there.

Several years later, Lisa has made a life for herself, far from the one she knew. She has a job as a kickboxing instructor at a local gym. Her son is on the honor roll, and has a few good friends. Sure, she can’t spoil him as much as some of his friends’ parents can spoil their kids, but there’s a roof over his head, and food on the table, and they’re comfortable.

That all comes crashing down one day when she comes home from work to find her house ransacked and her son gone, a man telling her that the only way she can protect her son, is to go with him. She goes, without question.
